Water Filtration

Reverse osmosis water filters

You don’t need to keep spending money on bottled water. A reverse osmosis system installed by Donley provides the same quality water you get from a bottle, but with less waste and lower costs. Reverse osmosis can greatly reduce or eliminate issues specific to the water supply in Phoenix and the surrounding cities. These issues include:

Water Hardness

Phoenix is well known for having extremely hard water. This means the water’s mineral content is high with calcium and magnesium. While this doesn’t pose a health threat, many people find their skin is sensitive to hard water, while others simply don’t like the taste out of the tap. Reverse osmosis removes calcium and magnesium through a process called ion exchange. The result is water with a lower mineral content for your home.

Presence of Chlorine

Phoenix, like many cities, uses chlorine to kill off potentially-harmful bacteria before it can get into the drinking supply. While careful analysis is done to ensure the process is safe, some may be bothered by a residual smell or taste of chlorine in the water. Reverse osmosis removes much of the chlorine from the water so that the taste is always pure, delicious, and refreshing.

Taste and Smell

Phoenix residents often choose to only drink bottled water due to disliking the taste and smell of their tap water. Organic materials and water treatment chemicals can contribute to unpleasant taste, as well as odor. Reverse osmosis addresses both of these issues, providing drinkable water right from the tap.

Water Conditioners

Along with reverse osmosis filters, water conditioners combat the effects of hard water. With a water conditioner, you can enjoy smoother skin and hair, less soap scum, and dishes without water spots. If you notice calcium buildup on your dishes, or issues with soap failing to lather, you should consider a water conditioner.
