CHOOSE A RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL WATER HEATER
NOV 26, 2015
One of the most important aspects of buying a new water heater is determining what type will work for your home or business. At Donley Service Center, we install both residential and commercial water heaters for our customers.
We’ve come up with a few things to keep in mind when you’re in the market for a new unit.
Residential Water Heaters
When it comes to residential use, there are a number of important factors to keep in mind. Most importantly, is the size of your family; a household with five people will need significantly more hot water than a household with two or three.
It will also help to pay attention to your hot water usage for a week or two before you buy. Do you find yourself running out of hot water in the shower or while filling the bath? If so, you may want to consider a unit with a larger tank.
You will also want to find a unit that heats water rapidly enough to meet your needs, but doesn’t use too much energy. Efficiency is a crucial component for many of our customers.
Of course, reliability is an important attribute. We only offer quality, reliable heaters with all the parts and workmanship under warranty. When you choose Donley, you know you are dealing with a fully licensed and bonded contractor with decades of experience serving the Chandler area and the rest of Valley.
Commercial Water Heaters
Of course businesses have much different needs when it comes to what type of commercial water heater is needed. Small offices with a single bathroom and sink will likely need less hot water than some households. However, larger companies with more employees, public restrooms and kitchens will need significantly more hot water.
The best way to determine what size and type of commercial water heater your business needs is to schedule an appointment with Donley Service Center. We’ll send one of our technicians out to take a look at your unit and recommend the right option for replacement.
Other Considerations
Whether you are looking for a commercial water heater or a residential option, there are alternatives to traditional units.
Tankless: With a tankless heater, cold water is heated with a gas burner or electric element as it passes through. The water is heated almost instantly and eliminates the need for a tank, taking up far less space. A tankless unit will cost a bit more upfront, but will save energy by only heating water as it is needed.
